Luxury Car Scratch Repair
Paint depth measured, colour matched and refined—scratch repair finished to marque standards.
Why AMA Prestige?
A scratch on a prestige vehicle is rarely just a cosmetic mark. Modern clear coats are thinner than a sheet of paper, and luxury finishes—metallics, pearls, tri-coats and matte—can’t be touched up like a commodity paint. Our car scratch repair starts by measuring paint depth across the panel, so we know whether a scratch can be corrected in the clear coat or needs a factory-matched refinish.
Where the clear coat allows, we wet-sand and machine-polish the scratch out and keep your original paint. Where it doesn’t, we refinish the panel with manufacturer-approved colour systems and blend into adjacent panels for an invisible transition. What we deliver
Paint Depth Measurement
Every affected panel is gauged before work starts, so we know how much clear coat can be safely corrected.
Clear Coat Correction
Light and moderate scratches are wet-sanded and machine-polished out, preserving your original factory paint.
Factory Colour Matching
Spectrophotometer readings and manufacturer colour systems match metallics, pearls and tri-coats precisely.
Panel Blending
Where a refinish is needed, colour is blended into adjacent panels so no edge shows in any light.
Matte & Satin Finishes
Matte paint can’t be polished. Affected panels are refinished with dedicated systems to restore the specified sheen.
Key & Vandal Scratches
Long scratches across several panels are assessed panel by panel and repaired to one uniform finish.
Bumpers & Plastic Trims
Flexible bumper and trim surfaces are repaired with the right primers and texture matched to the original.
PPF & Ceramic Coatings
We work carefully around paint protection film and ceramic coatings, and advise on reapplication after repair.

Frequently Asked Questions
Every scratch is different—its depth, the paint system, the finish and where it sits on the car all change the right repair. These FAQs cover cost, deep scratches, colour matching, matte paint and timeframes. For anything beyond a light mark, start an online assessment or book an inspection.
How much does car scratch repair cost?
It depends on the depth of the scratch, the paint system and how many panels are affected. A scratch that polishes out of the clear coat costs far less than a refinish with blending. We measure the paint before quoting, so the price reflects the repair your car actually needs. See what affects luxury repair costs.
Can deep scratches be repaired without repainting?
If the scratch sits within the clear coat, usually yes—we wet-sand and polish it out. If it has cut through to the base coat or primer, the panel needs refinishing, because polishing can’t replace missing colour.
How do you know how deep a scratch is?
We gauge paint thickness on and around the scratch and inspect it under colour-correct lighting. A simple guide helps too: if your fingernail catches in the scratch, it has likely gone beyond the clear coat.
Will the repaired area match the rest of my car?
Yes. We read your colour with a spectrophotometer, mix through manufacturer colour systems and spray test cards before painting. Where needed, we blend into adjacent panels so the repair is invisible in daylight and showroom light.
Can you repair scratches on matte or satin paint?
Yes, but matte and satin finishes can’t be polished or spot-repaired—doing so leaves shiny patches. We refinish the affected panel with dedicated matte or satin systems and give you aftercare guidance at handover.
How long does scratch repair take?
A polish-out correction can often be completed in a day. Scratches that need refinishing typically take one to three days, depending on panel count, cure times and insurer approvals. We’ll confirm your schedule after inspection.
